is growing from lips and bound. The entertainment portal, call it online magazine now has a correspondent in Belgium. Journalist Titus Banyoh becomes our first correspondent and bureau chief in that Europe’s renowned and historically ancient country. Our latest “man on the beat” has wasted no time in filing Cameroon-related entertainment stories from Belgium, some of which will be online in the next couple of hours.

Popularly known as Batimu, our new Belgium correspondent is a certified journalist, formally trained in one of Cameroon’s leading institutions of higher learning, the famous Anglo-Saxon University of Buea. He was part of the third batch of students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, simply called JMC. As batch mates, Batimu had George Esunge Fominyen, today one of the most dynamic young African communicators on the international scene.

Other course mates of Titus in JMC include former deputy station manager of CRTV’s Poala FM and FM 94 Ebude Ekane, CRTV Bertoua reporter Nuwea Ben Mudika, Hello’s Discovery slot star Bennen Buma Gana, former CRTV Douala staffer Moki Charles Linonge and TIPTOPSTARS Editor Ernest Kanjo.

He is remembered to have been a committed Secretary General of the Association of Student Journalist of the University of Buea (ASJUB), one of UB’s most renowned campus associations of all times. This writer happened to have been ASJUB’s Publicist during Batimu’s tenure.

The TIPTOPSTARS Belgium-based reporter has a wealth of journalism experience. Before leaving Cameroon, in 2003 for Germany where he lived for more than half a decade, Batimu worked as external collaborator for the National Radio station in Yaounde. He later worked on the English News and Animation Desk of Magic FM, one of Cameroon’s frontline private radio stations. He moved on to pioneer Yaounde RTN, today known as Ariane Television before leaving the country a few months later.

Banyoh has had specialized training in television advertising. His quest for greater horizons and knack for video production pushed him into filmmaking. Before leaving Germany for Belgium about four years ago, our man did the famous Berlin Icon with Terence Fomunung. In his new country of residence, he has produced two movies, Shades and Chloe. He recently discovered a singing talent in him and is purposefully exploring it via The Brothers United, an Antwerp-based group that is currently recording songs on the up-coming album. His getting into entertainment writing is therefore no error. It is his thing. Welcome to TIPTOPSTARS!united brothersThe Brothers United
